Why I built ezvo ai

Taking back control of your attention. AI where you work — not in another tab.

I was tired of switching tabs

Every day I worked in the browser: reading articles, digging through docs, writing code, learning new things. And every time I needed help, the same routine played out:

A typical day Reading an article → hit an unfamiliar term → Cmd+T, open ChatGPT → wait for it to load → copy the fragment → paste it → ask → get the answer → switch back → wait, where was I?

My brain lost the thread every time. Not because the question was hard. Because a simple act — asking — required six steps and a full context switch.

I counted: I was switching to ChatGPT 15–20 times a day. Hours of scattered attention every month. Not on hard problems — just on navigating between windows.

The problem isn't AI. It's the distance to it.

ChatGPT is a great tool on its own. But its location — a separate tab, a separate world — makes it awkward for everyday use.

The best tool is the one you don't notice using.

A hammer doesn't require a context switch. A calculator on your phone is one gesture. Why does AI — the most powerful tool ever made — take so much effort for a simple question?

The answer is simple: AI should live where the work lives. In the browser. Next to the text you're reading. Next to the page you're studying.

A sidebar that's always there

That's how ezvo ai was born. Not "yet another AI chat". An extension that opens in the browser's side panel — right where you already are.

Select a paragraph → ask. Don't understand a term → select it → one click. Need to rephrase something — right there on the page, without going anywhere.

I wanted the distance between "I need help" and the answer to be one hand movement. No tabs, no copy-paste, no lost context.

As I built it, something became clear: if AI is already in the browser, notes and tasks belong there too. An idea strikes while reading — save it right there. Something to do — add it, without breaking flow. Everything in one place, not scattered across ten apps.

AI as an exoskeleton for the mind — not a replacement

Everyone says: "AI will write for you", "AI will replace thinking". I don't believe that narrative. And I don't want to build a product around it.

There are things only humans do: ask the right questions, make decisions, own the outcome, feel context that can't be put into words. AI can't do that and shouldn't try.

But AI is great at something else: instant explanation, structuring, analysis, finding connections. Everything that used to take hours of searching or an expert's help.

AI should take on the routine of thinking — freeing you for the thinking itself.

That's what ezvo ai is built for. Not to think instead of you. To remove the friction between a question and an answer — and give back what matters most: focus.

Technology should serve your life

ezvo ai wasn't built so you'd use AI for the sake of AI. It was built so you'd do your work better, faster, and with less mental overhead.

Fewer tabs. Fewer switches. More flow.
